More on the #yorais effect – the Malaysian Twitter phenomenon (w/ transcript log)

Well the tweet deluge on Information and Communications Minister Rais Yatim’s “twitter is against our culture” comment has dropped off twitter’s trending topics since everyone’s going to sleep. What a day; I think many would agree they could really feel the power of social media today. [See the previous post I wrote when the trend was peaking]

For latecomers (I predict the trend has pretty much passed the peak), you can view the entire transcript history of #yorais at whashtag.com. Need to adjust the time zone by eight hours, and no protected timelines though.
