My music playlist hasn’t been updated for ages, barring what I get from friends.
Downloading music from Limewire has been pretty dicey lately.
It’s simply crawling with viruses and seems difficult to connect to in the first place.I did try out Guamuzik (not going to link it) but got pretty pissed when trying to buy my first track left me stranded because my bank payment went throuugh but Guamuzik wasn’t updated. Probably because I wasn’t using IE or something. Sure it was only RM3 but when things like this happen on new services, there’s really no looking back.

So I was pleasantly surprised to come across DiGi Music. Rather than the track-by-track model Gua used, it’s offering “unlimited” downloads for an RM5 a month subscription.RM5?
It does really sound too good to be true but yet another whopper is that it’s DRM-free, which would mean that you truly own what you download. If you’ve been following online trends, DRM has been a thorn in the side of paid music users for some time so I’m pretty happy DiGi is ahead of the curve in this. And it’s not just for the people with iPhones and BBs; they are playable on your PC as well. The additional features of being able to share songs and playlists, free WAP browsing, as well as concerts and events under the DiGi music banner are icing on the cake.
Now of course the only problem is I just switched from DiGi. If anyone has been trying this out, let me know if it’s good though and I just might switch back!
